Kaddylogue insights: GABS Hottest 100

February 8, 2023

Buzz around the GABS Hottest 100 is still very much alive and kicking. In fact, we’re so excited about it, we created a GABS tag in Kaddy Marketplace so users can easily search for beers that made the Hottest 100.

In celebration, we’ve created a follow-up to our deep dive into the GABS Hottest 100 results, this time looking at the winners in our Kaddylogue. Here’s what we found.

81 of the Hottest 100 beers are on Kaddy Marketplace, including 8 of the top 10, and they hail from all over the country:
   • NSW: 24
   • QLD:
   • VIC: 17
   • ACT: 9
   • SA: 7
   • WA: 5

Our mates at Mountain Culture made an outstanding debut in the competition by not only taking out the top spot but also having 3 beers place in the Hottest 100 and 7 in the top 122. Their Be Kind Rewind NEIPA came in at 36, Cult IPA at 15, and of course, the Status Quo hazy took out gold. Clearly, the hard work of their team has paid off. The faces of Co-Founders Harriet and DJ McCready in this photo say it all.

Mountain Culture Founders Harriet and DJ McCready won GABS Hottest 100.

Equally impressive a feat were the three Kaddy friends who released a beer in 2022 that placed in the Hottest 100 in that same year. HUGE! Range Brewing’s DISCO Pale Ale came in at 53, Young Henrys’ Hazy Pale Ale at 55 and Blackflag Brewing’s Astro Punk XPA at 69.

Even with the looming election, our top politician took to social media to endorse his top pick and encourage punters to vote. It paid off, as Willie the Boatman’s Albo Aussie pale ranked number 56.
